BOYDS, MD – Today, conservative Robin Ficker is launching his campaign for Congress in
Maryland’s Sixth Congressional District, his long-time home.
Republicans lost Maryland’s Sixth by just over six percentage points and less than 24,000 votes in 2024, while being outspent nearly 6-1. Robin Ficker pledges to seed his race with a seven-figure contribution to ensure that he can go toe-to-toe with the Democrat machine.
Robin Ficker announced his campaign with the following statement:
“I’m running for Congress because Western Maryland deserves a fighter—someone who will stand up for our Sixth District and stand strong with President Trump. For too long, radical liberal elites in Washington and Annapolis have ignored us while our jobs have vanished. That ends today. I’m committed to bringing jobs back to Western Maryland, widening I-270 to ease our traffic, and working alongside President Trump to slash spending, grow our economy, and keep our communities safe and prosperous.
As your Congressman, I will never vote to raise your taxes or increase the deficit. I’ll work to cut red tape and simplify regulations, making it easier to start and run a business. Together, we’ll bring high-paying energy and manufacturing jobs back to our region. We will no longer let Western Maryland take a back seat to the Green New Deal agenda.
The upcoming midterms will be a crucial test for President Trump’s vision, and he needs a real fighter in Maryland who will stand by him.
